The Transilvania Academica Scholarship (TAS) 2026 is a fully funded opportunity for international students from non-EU and non-EEA countries to pursue a master’s degree at Transilvania University of Brasov in Romania.
The scholarship aims to attract international students and build a network of ambassadors who will contribute to the global visibility of the university.

Eligibility Criteria
- Open to candidates from non-EU and non-EEA countries
- Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree
- Must apply for a master’s degree programme at the university
- Application must be submitted in English
- Complete application file is required
Duration
The scholarship is awarded for the full duration of the master’s programme.
If the programme is taught in Romanian, a preparatory year in Romanian language is also covered.
Continuation of the scholarship depends on successfully passing each academic year.
Scholarship Benefits
The scholarship covers:
- Tuition fees (including registration and graduation fees)
- Free accommodation in university dormitories (including holidays)
- Monthly allowance of 800 lei (approximately 170 USD)
Note: Travel expenses and visa costs are not covered.
Required Documents
Applicants must submit:
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Motivation letter (maximum one page)
- Three letters of recommendation
- Bachelor’s degree diploma or provisional certificate
All documents must be submitted in PDF format and in English.
Selection Process
Candidates are selected based on the quality of their application documents by an evaluation board appointed by the university.

- 23 Feb 2026 – 10 Apr 2026: Application period
- 13 Apr – 08 May 2026: Evaluation
- 11 May – 25 May 2026: Approval of selected candidates
- 27 May 2026: Results announced via email
