What the Scholarship Covers

  • Full tuition fees
  • Living allowance (stipend) for the duration of the award
  • Return economy airfare to the host country
  • One‑off arrival allowance
  • Research Support Grant (available upon request and subject to approval)
  • There is no application fee.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Be a citizen (or hold refugee status) in a Commonwealth country
  • Apply for study in a country other than your home country
  • Have achieved a minimum of 2:1 undergraduate degree (or equivalent)
  • Meet the admission requirements of the chosen university
  • There is no upper age limit for applicants
  • Refugees should apply as citizens of the country that granted them refugee status.

Application Timeline

Applications close: 3 June 2026 at 15:00 UTC

Two application cycles run each year (Cycle 1: Nov/Dec, Cycle 2: Mar/Apr)

Applicants may apply more than once if interested in multiple host countries

How to Apply

  • Review the list of eligible countries, universities, and courses for the current cycle.
  • Visit the university website for course details.
  • Submit a QECS application via the ACU portal (requires a myACU account).
  • Apply separately to the chosen university for admission to the selected course.
