The Master Mind Scholarship 2026-2027 is awarded by the Flemish Ministry of Education and Training to outstanding international students applying for master’s programmes in Flanders and Brussels. The scholarship offers a grant of €10,225 per academic year together with a tuition fee waiver per academic year.
The scholarship is available for eligible master’s programmes at participating Flemish higher education institutions. The duration is one academic year for a 60 ECTS master’s programme or two academic years for a 120 ECTS master’s programme.
Applicants must meet the academic and language requirements. The applicant should demonstrate strong academic performance, with a GPA of 3.5 out of 4.0 based on the last obtained bachelor’s or master’s degree. For most institutions, accepted English proof includes IELTS 7.0, TOEFL iBT 94, or C1 level, while schools of arts may accept IELTS 6.5, TOEFL iBT 90, or B2 level.
Students must first check whether their chosen institution participates in the scholarship and what deadline applies there. After submitting documents to the host institution, shortlisted candidates are entered into the Mobility Online system by the institution and must complete their file there before the stated deadline. Required documents include a profile picture, passport or national ID, and CV, among others.
The host institution may still charge a limited tuition fee equal to the lowest local scholarship rate. For the 2026-2027 academic year, that amount is €136.50, and it may increase slightly in future years.
