For undergraduate students pursuing careers in:

- Related video game arts and sciences fields
2. Esports Scholarship
For students who:
- Play or manage esports at the collegiate level
- Are pursuing a four‑year academic degree
- Want to contribute to the growing esports ecosystem
- Both scholarships aim to support students who bring unique perspectives, creativity, and innovation to the video game industry.
Scholarship Benefits
- Selected ESA Foundation Scholars receive:
- $5,000–$10,000 in scholarship funding
- Industry webinars and mentorship opportunities
- Access to a national network of ESA Scholars
- Career‑building opportunities within the video game industry
Additionally, a small group of upper‑level students may be chosen to attend the Game Developers Conference (GDC) in March 2027 in San Francisco, with:
- Paid travel
- Full GDC registration
- Exclusive programming and networking sessions
Eligibility Requirements
- Have a minimum GPA of 2.5
- Identify as women, nonbinary, gender‑nonconforming, or economically disadvantaged, OR belong to another underrepresented group in the video game industry
- Be pursuing a degree leading to a career in video game arts, sciences, or esports
- Be a full‑time undergraduate student at an accredited four‑year U.S. college or university in Fall 2026
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Applicants may apply to one or both scholarship tracks
